A few things
your browser remembers.
Last updated June 23, 2026. We use a small number of cookies and localStorage entries — only what's needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to work. They authenticate your session, remember your workspace, and protect against abuse. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| a_session_<projectId> | Appwrite session cookie — authenticates you to the Appwrite backend. | Appwrite | Session / up to 1 year | First-party |
| slashblogs_theme | Stores your light/dark theme preference. | SlashBlogs | 1 year | First-party (localStorage) |
Functional
These cookies remember choices you make, such as the workspace you last opened or the tab you were on, so the Service behaves the way you expect.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| slashblogs_*_key | Stores API keys you paste into the docs / API explorer so you don't have to retype them. Stored only in your browser. | SlashBlogs | Until you clear it | First-party (localStorage) |
| slashblogs_*_site | Remembers which site you were viewing in the docs and explorer. | SlashBlogs | Until you clear it | First-party (localStorage) |
Analytics
We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies on the marketing site or in the dashboard. If we add them (for example, privacy-friendly self-hosted Plausible or Umami), we will update this page and ask for consent where required.
Third-party integrations
Connecting Google Search Console lets SlashBlogs read search reports; it does not embed an analytics script or set tracking cookies on your readers' browsers. Google Analytics integration is coming soon. If you independently add analytics scripts to your own blog, their cookies are governed by that provider's policies.
