The terms of working together.

These Terms of Service (these "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and SlashBlogs ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the SlashBlogs platform, including the dashboard at slashblogs.com, the underlying Appwrite backend, the slashblogs-api Cloud Function, the REST and MCP APIs, and any related software, documentation, or services we make available (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, clicking "I agree," or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you are entering into them on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, in which case "you" refers to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

SlashBlogs is a hosted workspace for blog teams. We provide an editorial calendar, a markdown post editor, scheduling, taxonomies (categories, tags, authors), media management, SEO metadata, sitemap and RSS generation, an optional Google Search Console integration, an API surface (REST and MCP), and team-management tools backed by Appwrite. Google Analytics and built-in AI-provider integrations are coming soon.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect your workflow, but we do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any content that you cannot afford to lose.

You must provide accurate information when you create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password and any API keys we issue to you confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly at security@slashblogs.com if you believe your account or any API key has been compromised. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access that you could have prevented by using reasonable care.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe to be used for abusive, fraudulent, or illegal purposes.

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) upload, post, or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful; (b) send unsolicited bulk communications or spam; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users' data; (d) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (e) reverse engineer the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; or (f) use the Service to develop a product or service that competes with the Service.

You will not use the API in a way that exceeds the rate limits or quota documented for your plan, or that imposes an unreasonable load on the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish through the Service and for ensuring that you have the rights needed to publish it.

You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content you upload, create, or publish through the Service ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service), transmit, and display Your Content for the purpose of operating, developing, and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

We will not access, read, or use Your Content except as needed to provide the Service, comply with the law, or enforce these Terms. We do not train any model on Your Content.

The Service is currently free to use during early access. There are no paid plans, no usage limits, and we do not collect payment details or process charges of any kind.

If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will publish the pricing and give you at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies to your workspace. You will never be charged without first providing a payment method and agreeing to the price.

Because the Service is free during early access and we do not collect payments, there are no charges to refund. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will publish a refund policy alongside them.

The Service, including its underlying software, design, branding, documentation, and the SlashBlogs name and logo, is and will remain the exclusive property of SlashBlogs and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service other than the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

Feedback you provide to us may be used by us without restriction or compensation to you.

You may cancel your account at any time from the Account settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if we are required to do so by law.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will retain Your Content for 30 days to allow you to export it, after which it may be permanently deleted from our production systems. Backup copies may persist in encrypted storage for an additional period as required by our retention policies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that the results obtained from using the Service will meet your requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD $100.

Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any third-party claim arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give you notice by email or through the Service at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the effective date.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

We will attempt to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal proceedings. Contact us at legal@slashblogs.com and we will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
